The Fountain in the Beech Wood
Two sisters walk the same forest path to the same mossy fountain, where an old woman in a grey shawl asks each of them for a drink. What falls from their words afterward shows them, softly and without punishment, the true shape of their own hearts, and how even a hardened heart may be gently unlearned by evening light.
