The Milk Pail and the Wildflower Path
A young farm girl carries a brimming pail of milk to market along a sunlit country path, building a whole shining future in her mind as she walks. When the pail tips and the milk soaks quietly into the dust, an unhurried old man at a silvered gate helps her see that the day itself was never lost: only her attention, which she gently gathers back, step by warm step.
